Through prayer & discussion, WE CONTINUE to seek the Lord’s leading ON NAVIGATING OUR NEW NORMAL AS WE RESPOND TO COVID-19.
MESSAGE FROM PASTOR CHET
Brother’s and Sisters of St. Paul’s greetings in the name of the Lord. As we respond to our governments call to limit gatherings we have as you know cancelled activities. It is not done lightly or without much prayer and discussion. It doesn’t mean we lack faith or shake in fear. We are called by God to actions of love. It is an opportunity for us to show love to those who are the weakest and most at risk. It also shows our country that we do indeed love it as well.
I ask that you keep your ears and eyes open for those who have needs of both body and soul. And as always keep us the leadership of the church and community in your prayers as we figure out how to meet those needs going forward. Pray also that the quarantine process enables the pandemic to end quickly.
I want to share some verses from Lamentations 3:22-26 “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” I encourage you as you are able to dig into God’s word and seek him. See what goodness he will show you. Be patient and wait for the salvation of the Lord. He is our hope and our portion.
Dear Father in heaven, You know all our needs of body and soul. You know where our hearts are in fear and in hope. Strengthen us to love each other and be able to follow you no matter the circumstance or trial. In Jesus name amen.
God’s Peace, Pastor Chet
