Our purpose
To provide a safe, secure, loving, Christian environment in which your school-age child will be helped to develop his/her spiritual, emotional, social, physical and intellectual well being to his/her full individual potential.
What is r.e.a.l kids?
reaching, educating & loving kids
REAL Kids (Reaching, Educating, and Loving) Kids child care program for K through 5th grade that provides Christian care for children before and after school and during the summer.
There will be Bible time, snacks, games, tutor time, and much more.
Appropriate licensure comes through the Sedgwick County Health Department.
Location
REAL Kids is located in the Family Life Center of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 639 Lincoln, Cheney, KS (on the corner of 6th and Lincoln).
Schedule

School Year Program - REAL Kids hours are 6:30-8:30 A.M. and 3:00-6:00 P.M.. Monday through Friday. (Breakfast and snacks are included.) During the school year we honor school holidays and follow the schedule of the Cheney school district.

Summer Program - The summer schedule is 6:30 A.M.-
6:00 PM. (Breakfast, Lunch and snacks are included.)

I want you to know that R.E.A.L. Kids is so much more than quality Christian child-care, we are a ministry. You and your children are always in my prayers. It is my sincere desire to do whatever I can to meet the needs of the families and children in my care. My goal is to share the love of Jesus with each and every child so that they know they are loved and cared for by Him always. I will strive to make your child's experience at R.E.A.L. HAYDEN DEWEY
My name is Hayden Dewey, and I am a junior at Cheney High School. I am involved in Art Club, National Honors Society, and I’m the Junior Class President. In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and making art. I’m so excited to be working at Real Kids, and to continue making connections with the kids here.
DAMON GALLOWAY
I'm Damon Galloway and I've lived here in Cheney since I was about four years old. I have one older brother and three younger sisters. Right now I am a Junior at Cheney High School. I love to read, play a whole lot of sports, and hang out with my friends. I'm not sure what I will be doing in the future but working with children is definitely a possibility. I am really looking forward to helping out at REAL kids!
On a side note: Damon is a fabulous piano player and thanks to him we now have a GaGa ball pit that he helped to build for the kids.
ASHLYN THOMAS
Hi, my name is Ashlyn Thomas! I am currently a sophomore studying Elementary Education at Wichita State University. I grew up in Garden Plain and graduated high school there in 2017. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family or recreating crafts I find on Pinterest. I also enjoy being outdoors and just having fun! I look forward to meeting and caring for all of the amazing kids at REAL Kids!
(On a side note: Ashlyn is the daughter of Michelle Thomas who is one of the fabulous Kindergarten teachers at Cheney Elementary).
