• Main Topics are the Six Chief Parts of the Christian Faith

  • The Ten Commandments​

  • The Creed

  • The Lord's Prayer

  • The Sacrament of Baptism

  • Confession and Absolution

  • The Sacrament of the Altar

• Additional Topics:  How to hear a sermon, the means of grace, daily prayers, Table of Duties, Christian questions with their answers​

 

Confirmation 2 Class

• For 7th & 8th graders

• Meets Wednesdays from 6:00-6:50

• Primary Texts are the Bible and Enduring Faith 60-Lesson Catechism Study Book

• Main Topics: Review and deeper dive into the Six Chief parts of the Christian faith, with supplemental material from the Book of Concord, Rev. Dr. Koehler's Summary of Christian Doctrine, and Rev. Dr. Pieper's Christian Dogmatics (three volumes)

• Additional topics: God's Revelation (how we received the Bible), how to interpret scripture, law and gospel, two kinds of righteousness, two kingdoms, three orders, theology of worship, unionism and syncretism, survey of American denominations, survey of world religions

 

Adult Confirmation

Pastor offers adult instruction for those who desire to know more about Lutherans or join the congregation.  Please contact Pastor if you are interested in knowing more about St. Paul's and the Lutheran faith.
